Growing up in Kohima, he had the unique opportunity of living in a house that was almost always under construction. The family home was always changing, being in a constant state of build for the most part of his formative years. This unfinished architecture evolving with the family’s needs exposed him to the innate relationship between spaces and the functions it encompasses. 

The initial few years of working at firms in Bangalore and Mumbai were crucial in her understanding of design and its importance in the built environment. This further developed her interest in the design of urban public spaces and their impact on the quality of life for the city as a whole.
